GERMAN LANGUAGE EXAM ("IDONEITA"- PASS-FAIL BASIS) SESSIONS

Level A1

Thursday January 24th, 2019, 2-4 p.m.

The purpose of the exam is to verify if students can be admitted to the A2 level course in the secondo semester. Students interested should contact Birgitte Hoiberg-Nielsen.

 

Livelli A2, B1, B2, C1, C2:

  • Thursday June 20th 2019, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. rooms A+B, Padiglione Esterno, San Niccolò (registration deadline: June 12th, 2019)
  • Friday September 20th 2019, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, room 447, 4th floor, Presidio San Niccolò - (registration deadline: September 15th, 2019)

German language courses are OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS enrolled in the University of Siena.

PLEASE NOTE THAT STUDENTS MUST HAVE A MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE OF ITALIAN IN ORDER TO ATTEND A GERMAN BEGINNERS' COURSE.

The following German language courses are held at the San Niccolò Campus on Via Roma, 56 (Porta Romana):

 

ANNUAL A1 and A2 COURSE for BEGINNERS divided into two semesters.

The course is for:

- students from the DFCLAM department who choose GERMAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE 1. In order to take this exam, you have to pass the linguistic part of the exam at the end of the second semester. The minimum level necessary of language preparation is A2. Beginning students of German prepare during the annual language course. Please note: if you have any questions regarding the German Language Course and the teacher's module, contact the teacher or visit the department website

- students that choose A2 LEVEL GERMAN LANGUAGE ("IDONEITA') - exam code L99968

- students who are interested in learning the fundmentals of the language without inserting the exam in their curriculum can also follow the course for a single semester. They will be awarded a certificate from the CLA (see below)

 

1) A1 COURSE: First semester (October 2018 to January 2019)

3) B1 COURSE, first semester ("idoneita" exam code L99967)

A prerequisite to the course is a basic knowledge of German at A2 level.

The course is aimed at

- students taking GERMAN LANGUAGE 1 with a basic knowledge of the language that would like to improve their vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and speaking.

- students that choosed B1 LEVEL GERMAN LANGUAGE EXAM ("IDONEITA') - exam code L99967

- students that would like to obtain extra credits or an attendance certificate from the CLA

EXAMS, CREDITS, AND CERTIFICATES

The annual course prepares for:

- students that take the German language component as part of the German language and literature exam

- students that choose aa A2 level German language exam (idoneità) - exam code L99968

 

Students who are not awarded credits for a German language exam and who attend at least 70% of the course and pass the final test, will receive a certificate.

The certificate issued by the Language Center is not an external certification. Nevertheless, our lessons follow the European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students interested in obtaining an external certificate can sit the exam at the GOETHE INSTITUT of Rome or at an institution which collaborates with the Goethe Institut, for example, the Deutsches Institut of Florence.

APPROVAL OF INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATES OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE BY THE UNIVERSITY LANGUAGE CENTER:
