Language Laboratory - San Niccolò Building

The language lab is furnished with modern equipment and a vast array of books, films in original language, and audio CDs and CD-ROMs pertaining to the following languages: English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, and German.

Those students enrolled in Scienze della Comunicazione (with B2 and C1 level English exams with four skills in their curriculum, and the possibility of taking a C2 course), masters degree courses in Language and Mind: Linguistics and Cognitive Studies, Public and Cultural Diplomacy (with curriculum that requires the C1or C2 level English exam which includes four skills), and Strategie e Tecniche della Comunicazione (which requires the B2 level English exam with four skills) must take a placement test in English at the Language Lab at the San Niccolò Building, located on Via Roma, 56 (0577 234848, selfaccesslab@gmail.com) in September. 

Student enrolled in the above courses do not need go the the Language Center in Piazza San Francesco.

It is advisable to book an appointment in order to take the placement test.

The test will be held in the San Niccolò Language Lab during opening hours for those students who have not demonstrated a B1 level of English through an exam with four skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking), international students who do not have a B1 level of English, and for those students  who were previously enrolled in other bachelor degree programs in which B1 was non obbligatory for graduation, or in which the B1 exam only included two skills.

Only those students who have already passed a B1 level exam which included four skils can enrol in a B2 level course without taking the placement test by contacting the San Niccolò Language Lab counter in person, or by phoning 0577-234848.
