Italian language tutor

If you wish to learn Italian, you can contact the CLA (Centro Linguistico d’Ateneo) student tutor who will provide information about the course and strategies to help you improve your knowledge of the language.

The tutor in charge for the academic year 2022/23 is Francesca Penoncelli who is available at our Language Lab (Piazza San Francesco, 8)  on Thursdays from 2.30 to 3.30 pm and online on Wednesdays from 7 to 8 pm at this link:

Together with the English tutor Laura Mancini, Francesca is organizing some linguistic events both for international and Italian students (linguistic exchanges, movie nights etc) . The activities will be both in presence and online. If you are interested, follow the Instagram page

Italian course for beginners - Second semester 2022-23

The Language Centre offers international students enrolled at the University of Siena the opportunity to study Italian with a blended course, which consists of 10 in-class weekly meetings with a teacher, based on the contents of 10 online weekly lessons available on the CLA Siena Online platform. The course is aimed at beginners (A1 Level), free, and intended for enrolled students only. 

You will be able to learn the language using the materials available on the CLA Siena online platform and you will have the chance to practice what you have learned with a teacher once a week, in an in-class environment. A tutor is also available to help you if you have any questions or difficulties.

The course starts on March 9th.

First meeting: March 9th , 12-14, Aula informatica 1 – Presidio San Francesco (come with your UNISI username and password)
